Dedicated Teams

A full engineering team that works only for you

We assemble, host, and run a dedicated development team from our Georgia and Russia delivery centers — yours alone, aligned to your roadmap, scaling up or down as the work demands.

Your own team, without the overhead of building one

Hiring a software team from scratch is slow, expensive, and risky. You compete for scarce talent against companies with bigger names and deeper pockets, you carry the cost of recruiters, office space, equipment, and benefits, and you still wait months before anyone writes a line of code. Then comes the part nobody budgets for: the senior hire who leaves after six months, the role you misjudged and have to backfill, the manager who spends half their week on HR instead of product. A dedicated team flips that equation. You get a stable, full-time group of engineers, designers, and QA who work exclusively on your product, while we handle recruitment, retention, payroll, equipment, and the day-to-day operational weight that quietly drains an in-house build.

Techies builds your team from our delivery centers in Tbilisi, Georgia and across Russia, where we have deep pools of senior talent and time-zone overlap that makes daily collaboration practical rather than asynchronous guesswork. You set the priorities and own the backlog; the team integrates directly with your tools, standups, and code review, working to your definition of done. Because the people stay the same sprint after sprint, they accumulate real product knowledge — the kind that lets an engineer say "that change will break the billing flow" before it ships, instead of learning it from a production incident. That continuity is the single biggest difference between a dedicated team and a rotating cast of contractors.

And when your roadmap grows or contracts, we scale the team accordingly — adding specialists for a major release push, trimming during a quieter quarter, swapping a backend-heavy mix for a mobile-heavy one as your priorities move. You pay for the capacity you actually need at each phase, not a fixed headcount you have to keep busy. The result is the control and cohesion of an in-house team with the elasticity and reduced risk of a partnership.

How we build and run your team

Every engagement starts with a structured discovery, not a CV dump. We work with you to understand the product, the stack, the roadmap, and the working culture you want the team to fit into, then translate that into the right team shape — how many engineers, what seniority mix, whether you need a tech lead, a designer, a QA specialist, or a DevOps engineer in the group. A two-person feature squad and a ten-person platform team are built very differently, and getting the composition right at the start saves months of friction later.

We then shortlist candidates from our bench and our recruitment pipeline in Georgia and Russia, screen them technically and for communication, and present you a shortlist to interview yourself. You always meet and approve the people before they join — a dedicated team you didn't choose is just a black box, and we don't work that way. Once you confirm, we handle onboarding against your repositories, environments, and rituals so that contributions start landing in the first sprint rather than the first month.

Day to day, the team runs on your cadence. You can manage it directly, treating the engineers as your own, or we can supply a delivery lead who runs standups, grooms the backlog with you, and gives you a single accountable point of contact. Either way you keep full visibility: access to the repos, the board, the metrics, and the people. We layer on the operational backbone — performance management, retention, equipment, secure access, holiday cover — so the team stays healthy and productive without you having to run an offshore HR function.

What a dedicated team gives you

Exclusive, full-time engineers

The team works only on your product, never split across three other clients in the background. That exclusivity keeps context deep, accountability clear, and momentum unbroken from one sprint to the next. You get the focus of an in-house team without having to build one.

Georgia & Russia delivery centers

Senior talent from our Tbilisi and Russia centers, with strong English, overlapping working hours, and a culture of direct, low-friction collaboration. The time-zone overlap means live standups and real-time problem-solving, not a 24-hour lag on every question. Your in-house staff work with the team, not around it.

Elastic scaling

Add specialists when you ramp up a major release and scale back when things quiet down, so capacity tracks your roadmap rather than a fixed payroll. Need a mobile developer for one quarter and a data engineer the next? We adjust the mix. You never pay to keep people busy between phases.

You own the backlog

You set priorities, direction, and the definition of done; the team plugs into your sprints, tooling, and code review as if they sat in your office. There is no agency layer deciding what gets built — the roadmap is yours. We make sure the team has what it needs to execute against it.

Continuity and product knowledge

The same people stay on your product month after month, accumulating the deep domain understanding that prevents costly mistakes. They learn your edge cases, your customers, and the reasons behind past decisions. That institutional memory is exactly what you lose with short-term contractors and rotating freelancers.

We carry the overhead

Recruitment, retention, payroll, hardware, secure access, and HR are ours to manage — you get output without the operational drag. When someone goes on leave we arrange cover; when the team needs new tooling we sort it. You focus on the product while we run the engine room.

Senior-led delivery

Teams are anchored by experienced engineers who set the technical bar, mentor the rest, and keep architecture honest. Optional delivery leadership gives you a single accountable contact for velocity, quality, and planning. You decide how much management to keep in-house and how much to hand to us.

Aligned ways of working

We adopt your stack, your workflows, and your standards rather than imposing ours, so the team feels like an extension of your own. Your Jira, your repos, your branching strategy, your review rules. Integration is measured in days, not the painful quarter it takes most outsourced setups to feel native.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from staff augmentation?
Staff augmentation adds individuals into your existing team to fill specific gaps; they report to your managers and work within your structure. A dedicated team is a standing group with its own rhythm, shared ownership, and the ability to take whole workstreams off your plate. Augmentation extends your team; a dedicated team can be your team for a product or initiative. Many clients start with augmentation and grow into a dedicated team as the scope expands.
How quickly can a team be ready?
A first cohort is typically running within two to four weeks. We shortlist from our existing bench in Georgia and Russia, you interview and approve the people, and we onboard them against your tooling and processes. Smaller teams move faster; larger or highly specialised teams take a little longer to assemble the right mix. We will give you an honest timeline during discovery rather than an optimistic one.
Can we scale the team up or down later?
Yes — scaling is the entire point of the model. We add or reduce roles with reasonable notice so your spend always matches the work in front of you. You can ramp up for a major release and trim afterward, or shift the skill mix as priorities move from, say, backend to mobile. You are never locked into a headcount you have outgrown or no longer need.
Who manages the team day to day?
That is your choice. You can manage the engineers directly as if they were in-house, owning standups and planning yourself, or we can provide a delivery lead who runs the day-to-day and gives you one accountable point of contact. Either way you keep full visibility into progress, velocity, and code quality, with direct access to the people and the repositories.
Where are the engineers based, and will time zones be a problem?
Our teams are based in our delivery centers in Tbilisi, Georgia and across Russia. Both locations give substantial working-hour overlap with European and Middle Eastern clients, so daily standups, live pairing, and real-time problem-solving are practical rather than a 24-hour relay. We deliberately favour overlap over pure cost arbitrage because collaboration speed matters more to delivery than a few saved hours.
Do we own the code and intellectual property?
Yes, completely. All source code, infrastructure, and intellectual property belong to you and live in your repositories from day one. The team works inside your environments under your access controls, and there is no vendor lock-in. If you ever wind the engagement down, you keep everything, fully documented, ready for your own staff to continue.
What if an engineer isn't the right fit?
We replace them from our bench with minimal disruption, and because the rest of the team carries the product knowledge, a single change never stalls your roadmap. We also manage performance proactively, so problems are usually caught and addressed before they reach the point of replacement. Continuity is something we actively protect rather than leave to chance.
How do you ensure quality and consistency?
Teams are senior-led, follow your coding standards and review process, and work to a shared definition of done. We bring engineering discipline — code review, automated testing, CI, and clear documentation — and adapt it to how you already work rather than imposing a parallel process. You get consistent, maintainable output you can verify yourself through the metrics and the code, not just trust on a status call.
Can the team include designers, QA, and DevOps, not just developers?
Yes. A dedicated team is built around the product, so it can include UX/UI designers, QA and automation engineers, DevOps, and a tech lead alongside developers. We shape the composition during discovery based on what your roadmap actually needs, and we adjust it over time as those needs change. The goal is a self-sufficient team, not just a pool of coders.
