Outsourcing
Scale your engineering without the overhead
Hire dedicated teams, augment your in-house staff, or hand us a project end-to-end. Senior engineers from our delivery centers in Georgia and Russia, ready to ship.
Build your teamWhy outsource software with Techies
Hiring senior engineers is slow, expensive, and risky — especially when demand is uneven and the local talent pool is thin. A single permanent hire can take three to six months to source, interview, and onboard, and if the role turns out to be temporary you are left carrying fixed cost long after the work has gone. Outsourcing flips that equation: you add proven capacity in weeks instead of months, scale up for a launch or a deadline, and scale down again when the work settles — paying only for the engineering you actually use.
Techies is not a recruitment marketplace or a body shop. We are a software company that builds products ourselves, so the engineers we put on your team work the way we work: code review, automated tests, CI/CD, and clear documentation are habits, not line items you have to negotiate. That discipline is the difference between cheap capacity that creates technical debt and outsourced capacity that genuinely accelerates your roadmap.
You work directly with the people who do the work. There are no anonymous account layers between you and the engineers, no hidden margins, and no rotating cast of contractors who never learn your codebase. One accountable partner, transparent rates, and a team that stays long enough to truly own what they build — that is what makes outsourcing pay off instead of just looking cheap on a spreadsheet.
Our delivery model: Georgia and Russia centers
Techies runs its own delivery centers in Tbilisi, Georgia and in Russia. These are wholly owned teams of full-time Techies engineers — not subcontractors and not freelancers sourced job by job — which is the single most important thing to understand about how we deliver. When you engage us, accountability, quality control, and communication all stay inside one company. There is nobody to point at if something slips, because the buck stops with us.
The geography is deliberate. Tbilisi and our Russian center sit in time zones that overlap comfortably with both Western Europe and the Gulf, so your daily stand-up, code review, and incident response happen in real working hours rather than across an awkward overnight gap. Engineers communicate in fluent English, and the cost of senior talent in these markets is a fraction of what the same seniority costs in Western Europe or North America — without the quality compromise that usually comes with the cheapest offshore options.
Both centers draw on a deep, mature pool of software, QA, and DevOps engineers. Georgia in particular has become a respected regional technology hub with strong universities, a growing startup scene, and a workforce used to building for international clients. Because the teams are co-located in real offices, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and pairing happen naturally — so the engineer assigned to you is backed by the whole center, not working in isolation.
Engagement models and how we onboard
Most clients start with one of three shapes. End-to-end software outsourcing suits a defined project with clear outcomes: you hand us the goal, we own scoping, build, testing, and delivery against milestones. A dedicated team suits an evolving product or a long roadmap: a stable, full-time team works only for you and grows or shrinks as your plans change. Staff augmentation suits a team that just needs more hands or a specific skill: individual engineers plug into your existing structure and report to your leads.
Onboarding is structured so you see momentum quickly. In the first week we agree on scope, access, tools, and communication rhythms, and you meet the actual engineers — not a sales team. By the second week the team is committing code inside your repositories and your workflow, joining your stand-ups and using your Slack, Jira, and CI. Most teams are productive within two to four weeks of signing, and because our people tend to stay on long-term projects, you avoid the constant re-onboarding tax that plagues churn-heavy vendors.
How we work with you
Software outsourcing
Hand us a project end-to-end — scoping, build, testing, and delivery — managed by a Techies lead against agreed milestones and a fixed or capped budget. You get a single point of accountability and a predictable plan, while we own the engineering risk and keep you informed at every milestone.
Dedicated development teams
A stable, full-time team that works only for you, embedded in your processes and tools, scaling with your roadmap from our Georgia and Russia delivery centers. The same people stay on your product month after month, so they accumulate deep domain knowledge and move faster the longer they work with you.
Staff augmentation
Plug individual senior engineers into your existing team to close skill gaps fast — they report to your leads and follow your workflow. It is the lowest-friction way to add capacity when you already have strong management in place and simply need more hands or a specific skill.
Offshore delivery
Our Tbilisi and Russia centers give you genuinely cost-effective offshore capacity without the usual quality trade-off. Senior talent in these markets costs a fraction of Western rates, and because the engineers are full-time Techies staff, you get offshore economics with in-house standards.
Nearshore-style overlap
Although our centers are offshore, the time-zone overlap with Europe and the Gulf gives you the collaboration feel of nearshore. Real-time stand-ups, same-day code review, and live incident response are normal — not something you wait until tomorrow for.
QA & testing outsourcing
Dedicated test engineers for manual, automated, and performance testing build suites that catch regressions before your users ever do. Whether you need exploratory testing for a release or a full automation framework, our QA specialists raise quality without slowing your developers down.
Dedicated DevOps
CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud operations run by engineers who keep your releases fast, repeatable, and observable. They harden your deployment process so shipping becomes routine rather than an event, and so problems are caught by monitoring instead of by customers.
Hire by stack
Need a specific technology? We staff teams across modern stacks — JavaScript and TypeScript, .NET, Java, Python, mobile, and cloud — matched to your existing architecture. You tell us the stack and the seniority you need, and we propose named engineers who already work in it day to day.
Frequently asked questions
- Where are your engineers based?
- In our own delivery centers in Tbilisi, Georgia and in Russia. These are Techies teams — not subcontractors and not freelancers hired per project — so quality, communication, and accountability all stay with one company. The engineer you meet on day one is the engineer who stays on your project.
- How is a dedicated team different from staff augmentation?
- Staff augmentation adds individuals who report to your managers and slot into your existing structure. A dedicated team is a self-contained unit with its own Techies lead that owns delivery against your roadmap. Augmentation is best when your management is already strong; a dedicated team is best when you want us to own outcomes. Many clients combine both.
- How do you handle time zones and communication?
- Georgia and Russia overlap comfortably with European and Gulf working hours, so stand-ups, reviews, and incident response happen live during the workday rather than overnight. Our engineers communicate in fluent English, and we work inside your tools — Slack, Jira, your repositories — so collaboration feels in-house rather than handed off to a distant vendor.
- Can we scale the team up or down?
- Yes. You can add engineers for a launch or a busy quarter and reduce capacity afterwards with reasonable notice, so you only pay for the engineering you actually need. For dedicated teams we agree the scaling terms up front so growth and reductions are predictable for both sides.
- How quickly can a team start?
- Most engagements are productive within two to four weeks of signing. The first week covers scope, access, tooling, and introductions to the actual engineers; by the second week the team is typically committing code inside your repositories and joining your daily rhythms. Larger or more specialised teams can take a little longer to assemble.
- How do you ensure code quality?
- Because we are a software company rather than a staffing agency, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, and documentation are built into how our engineers work by default. You are not paying for cheap hands that create technical debt — you are getting capacity that follows the same engineering standards we apply to our own products.
- Who owns the intellectual property?
- You do. All code, designs, and deliverables produced for you are your property, governed by a clear contract and protected by confidentiality terms. We can also work within your security and compliance requirements, including access controls, NDAs, and your preferred source-control and environment setup.
- What technologies do you cover?
- We staff teams across modern web, mobile, backend, and cloud stacks — including JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET, Java, Python, and the major cloud platforms — plus dedicated QA and DevOps specialists. Tell us your stack and the seniority you need, and we propose named engineers who already work in it.
- What does it cost?
- Pricing depends on the model, the seniority, and the team size, and we keep rates transparent with no hidden margins. End-to-end projects can be fixed or capped; dedicated teams and augmentation are usually a clear monthly rate per engineer. Tell us what you are building and we will propose a team with clear rates and timelines.
