How much do managed IT services cost in the UAE?

Managed IT and IT AMC in the UAE typically costs AED 1,000-20,000 per month, depending on headcount, sites, and how much security is included. Published packages from UAE providers start at AED 1,299 per month for up to 10 users. Here is what sits behind those numbers.

The numbers UAE providers actually publish

An IT AMC โ€” annual maintenance contract โ€” is a fixed recurring fee under which a provider keeps your IT estate running: helpdesk, patching, monitoring, endpoint security, backup, and a defined response time when something breaks. It is the dominant commercial shape for IT support in the UAE, and pricing sits in a well-established band. Published UAE market analysis puts typical spend at AED 1,000-20,000 or more per month: a basic tier at AED 1,000-3,000, a standard tier at AED 3,000-8,000, and a premium tier at AED 8,000-20,000 and above.

Very few providers in the Gulf publish their rate card at all, which is why buyers find this so hard to research. One Dubai provider that does publish lists three monthly AMC packages: AED 1,299 for up to 10 users, AED 3,499 for up to 25 users, and AED 7,999 for a 24/7 enterprise tier covering up to 50 users, each on a minimum twelve-month commitment. Beyond those user limits, additional users are charged at AED 150 per user per month on the lower two tiers and AED 175 on the enterprise tier, with server management added at AED 250-400 per server per month.

For unit pricing, published UAE figures put per-device support at AED 100-300 per device per month and per-user support at AED 150-500 per user per month. Ad-hoc work is priced separately: published on-demand rates include AED 300 for the first two hours of remote support and AED 100 per hour thereafter, or AED 450 for the first two hours on site during business hours and AED 150 per hour after that, with a 50% surcharge for after-hours and weekend calls. Broader market analysis puts pay-as-you-go at AED 250-500 per hour or AED 500-1,500 per service call.

Read those two data sets together and the picture is coherent. A twenty-person Dubai company on a standard, business-hours contract with sensible security should expect to land somewhere between AED 3,000 and AED 8,000 per month. Push to 24/7 coverage, add multiple sites, add servers, or add compliance obligations, and you move into the premium band. Strip back to basic monitoring and a business-hours helpdesk for a small team and you can sit near the bottom. Anything dramatically below that range is usually break-fix with a monitoring agent attached, sold as managed services.

Per user, per device, or flat fee โ€” which model is right

Per-user pricing charges for each person supported, regardless of how many devices they carry. It has become the default because it tracks the thing that actually generates tickets โ€” people, not hardware. An employee with a laptop, a phone, and a tablet raises roughly the same number of tickets as one with just a laptop. It forecasts easily, scales cleanly as you hire, and makes the cost of a new joiner obvious.

Per-device pricing charges per endpoint, server, or network device. It suits unusual device-to-person ratios โ€” a warehouse with shared terminals, a retail chain with point-of-sale systems, or a business with far more servers than staff. It is considerably cheaper than per-user pricing in those settings and considerably more expensive in a modern office where everyone carries three devices.

Flat-fee AMC tiers, the packaged approach most visible in the UAE, bundle a user ceiling with a defined scope for one monthly price. The appeal is budget certainty. The thing to check is the ceiling: a package sold as 'up to 25 users' is priced for 25 users, so at 12 you are paying for headroom, and at 27 you are into per-user add-ons. Check where you sit before signing a twelve-month commitment.

Pay-as-you-go, or block hours, is not managed services at all โ€” it is break-fix with a friendlier invoice. Nobody is paid to prevent breakage. At published UAE rates of AED 250-500 per hour, three bad incidents in a month can cost more than a standard AMC, and you carry the downtime too.

What moves your UAE price up or down

Headcount and growth rate

The primary input in every model. Per-user rates fall as headcount rises, so 50 users rarely costs five times what 10 costs. Give providers your twelve-month hiring plan, not today's number.

Coverage hours

Business-hours against genuine 24/7 is the biggest single step change in price. Published UAE rates add a 50% surcharge for after-hours and weekend call-outs, and the packaged 24/7 tier costs roughly double the tier below.

Number of sites and emirates

An office in Dubai, a branch in Abu Dhabi, and a warehouse in Sharjah means three networks, three connectivity contracts, and travel time โ€” one published rate card bills travel outside Dubai and Sharjah at actuals.

Servers and infrastructure

On-premise servers carry their own line item, published at AED 250-400 per server per month. Cloud-only estates avoid that but pick up consumption and administration costs instead.

Security depth

Antivirus and patching are table stakes. Managed detection and response, a SOC, and vulnerability management separate the standard tier from the premium tier, and are the fastest-growing part of most UAE contracts.

Compliance obligations

The UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, gained Executive Regulations in 2026 with compliance required from 1 January 2027. Evidence-gathering is billable recurring work.

Response-time SLA

A four-hour response target and a fifteen-minute one are different staffing models. Tighter SLAs need more engineers on shift, and the price reflects that whether or not you invoke them.

Estate condition at handover

An undocumented estate with unpatched servers means remediation before steady-state support can begin. Good providers price that as a one-off onboarding project rather than hiding it in the monthly fee.

What we charge, since nobody else here will say

Our managed IT starts at AED 3,700 per month. That is a floor, not a quote, and it is the number none of the ten UAE providers we reviewed for this page publishes at all โ€” one of them refuses in writing.

What the floor buys: a scoped estate for a small office, 24/7 monitoring, a service desk in business hours, patching with a reported compliance figure, endpoint protection, and backup verified by an actual restore. It is a real service, not a monitoring-only tier dressed up as managed IT.

What moves it up: headcount, extended or 24/7 service-desk coverage rather than business hours, on-premise servers, multiple sites, and how much security you want inside the contract rather than alongside it. Those four drive almost all of the variation, which is why we survey before quoting. A price given before anyone has looked at the estate is a guess, and it is always corrected upward later.

How we work with UAE businesses โ€” and what we will not claim

We have a Dubai office but we do not run a field engineering team in the UAE, and we will not pretend otherwise. Our service to UAE businesses is remote-first: monitoring, helpdesk, patching, cloud operations, identity, backup, and incident response are all delivered without anyone needing to be in the room, in Arabic and English, on Gulf Standard Time. Where a job genuinely needs physical hands โ€” a failed switch, an office fit-out, a dead laptop โ€” we scope it, coordinate it with your facilities team or a supplier you appoint, and own the ticket until it closes.

That changes the cost structure when you compare quotes. You are not paying toward a Dubai office, a fleet of vans, or the travel-at-actuals line on local rate cards. What you give up is someone at your desk within the hour. For an estate that is mostly cloud and mostly modern, the trade favours you; for heavily on-premise hardware across several emirates, a local provider with vans may serve you better, and we will say so.

We are not going to publish our own rate here either, because we do not know what your environment costs to run until we have looked at it. The numbers above are the market's, not ours, so you can walk into any quoting conversation knowing what normal looks like.

UAE managed IT cost: frequently asked questions

How much do managed IT services cost in Dubai?
Published UAE market analysis puts typical managed IT and AMC spend at AED 1,000-20,000+ per month: roughly AED 1,000-3,000 basic, AED 3,000-8,000 standard, and AED 8,000-20,000+ premium. One Dubai provider publishes packages at AED 1,299 per month for up to 10 users, AED 3,499 for up to 25, and AED 7,999 for a 24/7 tier covering up to 50.
What is a typical IT AMC cost per user in the UAE?
Published UAE figures put per-user support at AED 150-500 per user per month. Incremental users added to an existing packaged contract are cheaper โ€” one published rate card charges AED 150 per user per month on its lower tiers and AED 175 on its enterprise tier. Where you sit in that band depends mostly on coverage hours and how much security is bundled in.
Is per-user or flat-fee AMC better value?
Per-user pricing is fairer if your headcount moves, because you pay for what you use and the cost of each new joiner is transparent. Flat-fee tiers give budget certainty but are priced to a user ceiling, so a company of 12 on an 'up to 25 users' package is paying for headroom. Check your headcount against the ceiling, and check the twelve-month commitment most UAE packages require.
How much does ad-hoc IT support cost in the UAE?
Published on-demand rates include AED 300 for the first two hours of remote support and AED 100 per hour after that, or AED 450 for the first two hours on site during business hours and AED 150 per hour thereafter, with a 50% surcharge outside business hours. Broader market analysis puts pay-as-you-go at AED 250-500 per hour or AED 500-1,500 per service call.
What drives the price up the most?
Coverage hours and security depth, in that order. Moving from business-hours to genuine 24/7 support roughly doubles the packaged tier price because it is a different staffing model. Adding managed detection and response, a SOC, or compliance evidence work is the next largest step. Multiple sites across emirates and on-premise servers come after those.
Does an AMC cost less than hiring in-house IT?
For most UAE SMEs, yes, up to a point. One IT hire carries salary, visa and sponsorship costs, end-of-service gratuity, training, and cover for annual leave and sick days, and one person cannot provide 24/7 support or span every specialism. An AMC spreads a whole team's coverage across many clients. Past roughly 80-120 users, a hybrid model โ€” an internal lead plus a co-managed provider โ€” usually beats either extreme.
Are there hidden costs in a UAE IT AMC?
The common ones are per-user overage beyond the package ceiling, server and network device add-ons, travel billed at actuals outside the provider's home emirates, after-hours surcharges, project work excluded from the retainer, and third-party licences such as endpoint security or backup storage billed separately. Ask for each of those to be priced explicitly before signing.
Do compliance requirements affect the price?
Yes. The UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, received its Executive Regulations in 2026 with compliance required from 1 January 2027, and entities in critical sectors or handling government data carry additional obligations. Producing and maintaining evidence โ€” access reviews, logs, tested restores, documented controls โ€” is real recurring work and is priced accordingly.
How do I compare two UAE IT quotes fairly?
Normalise them before comparing. Ask each provider for the same five things: coverage hours, response and resolution SLA by severity, exactly which security tooling is included versus billed, what counts as project work outside the retainer, and the total cost at your projected headcount in twelve months rather than today. Quotes that looked far apart usually converge once those are aligned.
